„After coming back from my european voluntary service in scotland to germany, I was intensively looking for a job. And I found this advert, that there were still looking for participants for the Leonardo da Vinci Programme, finally I applied. A german organization was procuring me Veb Consult in Florence. I definitelly wanted to work as a Designer and to connect this with an stay abbroad in Florence, THE city of the Renaissance, was just great a great chance. For me it was very important to find people who think positively and i feel comfortable. In this case, my tutor was offering so many opportunities, to go with him to the seaside or to spend a weekend in the landscape. And this was a great experience and gives you another impression than in the city centre of Florence. The second important point for me was to get help, when there are appearing difficult situations. In the beginning I have had some problems with my work for photographs. The organization helped me to find something else, and this is a very nice experience: to come to a foreign place but to have somebody to help you. As a Designer i always try to get impressions and new ideas. Especially for this reason an internship abbroad is perfect. Living and working in another culture was enriching my life and I think it shows you more about yourself and Italy.“

„We have started 4 or 5 years ago to work together with trainees from abbroad. They directelly get into work with the possibility to have a very important experience for their lifes. Because of their open minded personalities there is a comfortable and reciprocal relationship. And with this they get integrated very fast. Naturally we have an exchange of the languages, they learn italian and we spanish. To know other people who share the same passion for arts is just fantastic. Finally it is a great personal and professional enrichement.“

„We started a couple of years ago, circa 5, to work with trainees from abbroad. But we already started to work before with italian trainees. Their work depends on what they want. Some of them want to take care of our homepage, some want to create advertisment, some prefer to do the bookcounting and others want to have contact to the customer. The global world allows us to have the exchange of cultural knowledge and experiences.
For expample, the german Design is very different to the italian. And with the collaboration there is a reciprocal enrichement. Working and having lunch together is a basic for us to create a good atmosphere. Another part is to abandon rigid structures. At the end we are a big family. I remember some american girls who have been trainees here and at the end the created their own Jeans – Collection in our place. I think this is the evidence for a good collaboration.
